Handcrafted in Latin America, our works of art are created exclusively using traditional printing processes and techniques that give each print a unique, distinctive character. DRAW
The final design is transferred to the linoleum or wood. This determines exactly which areas will be highlighted in the print and which will be left out.
CUT
Using special tools such as gouges, chisels and knives, the artists cut the motif into the linoleum or scratch it into the wood with the utmost precision. By removing the areas that are to remain white, the raised parts are created that form the later motif.
SETTING THE PRINTER BOX
The linoleum or wood panels are inserted into the printing frame layer by layer and combined with typography. Everything has to be very tight as the heavy printing rollers exert considerable pressure.
PRESSURE
The printing frame is coated with paint and pressed onto the paper. Historical machines ensure precise printing. Each layer must dry before the next follows - some prints consist of up to seven layers and are evidence of complex handwork.
STAMPING & SIGNING
After drying, each print receives an authenticity stamp and the artist's personal signature - a guarantee of the uniqueness of the work.
POSTERING & EXHIBITING
These works are created to be made accessible to a wide audience. Whether in exhibitions, collections or as posters in urban spaces - it is important to us to make the inspiring messages accessible to as large a circle of people as possible and to make their meaning visible in everyday life.
